A touring band just trying to survive

They had almost reached the border to the south
When the van was stopped and they told them to get out
The singer said hey what's this all about
And the soldier put a rifle in his mouth

We don't care that you're a star
You never should have come here and now you'll never leave
There must be a sacrifice in order for the north to be set free

It was morning when the ambulance arrived
And what they saw brought terror to their eyes
There were three men dead but one was still alive
Who shot the band and left them there to die?

No one knows who gave the orders to put a target on their heads
There will be no justice or closure for the fans
Cowards with their power plays
